The fabrics in this quilt may look familiar. I used a sampling of them to make the Bird in a Hoop for my mom last year. I completed the top and had it quilted last summer but I hadn’t put the binding on it since I had been busy with all of the gifts in the last half of the year. The pattern is called Sunkissed Squares by Freckled Whimsy.
I purchased the backing fabric without a quilt in mind and slowly collected the fabrics used for the squares that coordinated. I really liked the large print and multi-colored design for the back. The larger flowered quilting pattern accents the flowers in the print and the fabrics on the front.
